Boat Ride to Genkai Quasi-National Park
A Visit Not Complete Without a Boat Ride to Genkai Quasi-National Park
A visit to Yobuko wouldn’t be complete without a boat ride out to Genkai Quasi-National Park, a coastal treasure known for its dramatic cliffs and sea-sculpted rock formations. As we cruised along the rugged shoreline, the ocean sparkled, the breeze picked up, and the real show began—the towering, textured rocks rising from the sea like ancient guardians.
The rock formations were stunning—some looked like layered stone curtains, others stood like jagged sculptures carved by nature’s hand, weathered by centuries of waves and wind. But the highlight? When the captain expertly steered the boat right into a sea cave.
With incredible skill, he navigated the narrow space without touching a single rock—getting close enough to see the cave walls up close, their surfaces glistening with sea spray and light. It was both thrilling and surreal, like sailing into the heart of the Earth.
That moment alone made the ride unforgettable—a perfect blend of natural wonder and human finesse.
